Games Design Course 2019

Another year, another set of fabulous games from our students on the Games Design and Development course at Southampton. The students get together in pairs and have just three weeks to put a game together. We do three of these game sprints, one based around creating a game with a tutorial, one based around a narrative game, and another based on procedural generation or innovative interfaces.

For each game we produce a Let’s Play video where we try to give an honest first reaction, and then appraise the game against the criteria for the course.

You can see all the work (through the Let’s Plays) on the course YouTube channel, or compare against last years. But once again they have produced some really great pieces of work:

Coursework 1 – Tutorial Level

Coursework 2 – Narrative Games

Coursework 3 – Innovative Games
